Phase 1 - Planning

C. Kick-off Meeting:
·  1 day session with ESC, project team and SCL representatives.
·  Conduct off-site at a local hotel or facility to promote the importance and significance of the project.
·  The president, executive sponsor, project manager and SCL should deliver kick-off statements.
·  Project manager and SCL to review project macro and micro objectives. Project Manager to obtain ESC approval.
·  Project manager and SCL to review keys to success, implementation methodology, roles and responsibilities and project schedule (calendar & Gantt views).
·  Project team to name project and write a mission statement.
·  ESC attendance is required until mid-afternoon just before naming the project.
