Batch Receiving is a
process whereby you receive information through an EDI advance shipment notification (ASN)
about a shipment that has been shipped by your vendor and is now in transit.

Product that is in
transit from the vendor, is visible to manufacturing, receiving and purchasing.
Quantities

transactions are automatically received into the PRMS system, eliminating the keying of
receiving transactions.

or reduces data processing errors created by the manual entry of receiving transactions.
Mass
disposition movement can be performed for in transit receivers, as well as regular
receiving transactions.

Maintenance programs give the user the
tools they need to edit or correct data transmitted through EDI.

number (RIT) to each receiver flagged as in transit.
