Work Order Soft Bill Enhancements

There have been two changes to this process in version 9.1. The first change allows you to issue an item to itself on the soft bill of material. This is most helpful when considering rework orders. You are still restricted from doing this in the hard bill of material, PS0021.

The second change adds a "delete all" key for soft bill maintenance. This applies whether you adjust the soft bill through Work Order Maintenance (SF0010) or Soft Bill Maintenance (SF0260). It is very common for a rework order to have a structure with many items on it. Usually most of these items are deleted from the soft bill. Now you have the option to delete all, and then add in the few products consumed for the rework process.

Benefits:

ˇ   Elimination of multiple product master records to control the rework process. By allowing a product to be issued to itself on the soft bill the creation of the new product can be avoided.
ˇ   Simplified process for repackaging orders.
ˇ   Easier and faster modification of soft bill using the "delete all" function.

Features:

ˇ Work order maintenance, SF0010, and the soft bill maintenance, SF0260, have both removed the edit that prevented issuing a product to itself, and include a "delete all" function key to speed up the maintenance required for rework orders.
